RSOE

The Hungarian National Association of Radio Distress-Signalling and Infocommunications (RSOE) operates the Emergency and Disaster Information Service (EDIS), which aims to monitor, document, and analyze emergency and disaster events worldwide. The RSOE processes data from various organizations and trusted media to provide reliable information, ensuring that citizens receive up-to-date and validated information during emergencies. Their services include displaying gathered information on various interfaces and notifying users about selected events.

In the AVIS project, RSOE provides the consortium its expertise on inland waterway transport and river information services mainly, plus all the aspects related to the Middle Danube pilot. They will be contributing to the following tasks:

  • Definition of operational scenarios

  • Identification of user requirements

  • Safety case and design

  • Identification and analysis of challenges and barriers for automated vessels

  • Prototype development and design of the pilot projects

  • Implementation, demonstration and validation of pilot projects

  • Outreach activities and Advisory Board

  • Standardisation activities
