The AVIS consortium is pleased to announce that the third AVIS Workshop will be held online on 2 July 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30.
This upcoming workshop will focus on the next steps in automated inland navigation in Europe, offering participants the opportunity to learn more about the AVIS project, its technical developments, and its contribution to the future of European inland waterways.
During the session, the consortium will present the broader project context, the technical approach supporting the use of EU Space Data, the latest pilot developments and first results, as well as standardisation perspectives relevant to the sector. The workshop will also look ahead to the next phases of the AVIS project.
The event will conclude with an open discussion, allowing participants to ask questions, share suggestions, and contribute to the exchange on how innovation, testing, and collaboration can support the development of automated navigation on inland waterways.
